Geneva on the lake

Vals younger sister got married Saturday on the shore of Lake Erie in Geneva. Here are some of the things I came across killing time before the wedding.

The sun was setting over Lake Erie when I arrived Friday night.

(Below) Some random Gulls

(Below) I think this is a yellow-headed blackbird but I'm not positive.

(Below) Harpersfield Covered bridge, at 228 feet long it is the second longest covered bridge in Ohio. I came across this when I missed a turn, nice surprise.

(Below) This is a mucklehead, him and thousands of his buddies were everywhere around the lake. Apparently they are a sign of a healthy lake as they were killed off in the 1950's thru the 80's by high pollution levels that reduced oxygen levels in the lake.
